Key not in Audi A4?
If the indicator lamp lights up and the message appears on Audi A4s with convenience key*, the remote control key was removed from the Audi A4 while the engine was running. If the remote control key is not in the Audi A4 you will not be able to switch on the ignition or restart the engine after it has been switched off. You will also not be able to lock the Audi A4 from the outside.
Shift to P, otherwise Audi A4 can roll away. Doors do not lock if lever is not in P.
For safety reasons, this message will appear and a warning buzzer will sound if the selector lever of the automatic gearbox is not in position P when you switch off the ignition.
