Under certain conditions, the driver information system collects and transmits data to a server.
Once the information has been stored, you can use the service to call up data such as:
- Remaining range
- Fuel level
- Oil level
- Vehicle doors open/closed or locked/unlocked
- Mileage
- Next service inspection
- Warning messages
- Side lights/parking lights on/off

Do not let the status report tempt you into ignoring any driver messages or warning/indicator lamps that may light up in the vehicle. This could lead to a breakdown in road traffic resulting in a potential accident with serious injury.
