The tank flap can be released manually if the central locking system should fail to operate.

The manual release mechanism is located behind the side trim on the right of the luggage compartment.
Open the cover in the side trim Fig. 324►.
Release the ring Fig. 325► from its holder and carefully pull the ring ►. The tank flap is then released.
Press the left side of the tank flap to open it Fig. ►.
CAUTION
Stop pulling the ring when you feel resistance (the release mechanism is not audible). Otherwise, you could damage the manual release mechanism.
