Applies to: vehicles with release lever in luggage compartment
The backrests can be folded down separately* or together.

Folding down backrest
To fold down the backrest, pull the release lever Fig. 78► in the direction indicated (arrow).
Returning backrest to an upright position
Move the backrest back into its upright position until it engages and the red marking Fig. ► is no longer visible ►.
WARNING
  • When releasing the backrest, please make sure that no persons or animals are in its path. The backrest will fold forwards automatically when released.
  • Be careful when releasing and folding down the backrest! Carelessness when folding down the backrest could result in injuries.
CAUTION
  • Lower the rear head restraints before you fold down the backrest link► – risk of damage!
  • To prevent damage to the front seats, please check that the front seats are not too close to the rear seats before operating the release lever.
