Several categories for selecting audio/video files are available in the media centre.
Select: MEDIA button > control button
Media centre.
Depending on the active source, you can select audio/video files from the following categories and copy them into the playlist

Tracks
All available tracks are displayed. Select and confirm a track.

Artists
All available artists are displayed. Select and confirm an artist, an album and then a track.

Albums
All available albums are displayed. Select and confirm an album and then a track.

Album browser
All available album covers are displayed. Select and confirm an album cover from the overview. The first track of the selected album will be played.

Find music
Enter a search term (artist, album or track). Select and confirm
OK, and then select and confirm an audio file.

Folders
The folder structure or the track/chapter list of the selected source will be displayed. Select a folder (if applicable) and select and confirm an item in it.

Playlists
All available playlists are displayed. Select and confirm a playlist and then a track.

More
The second level of the media centre is displayed.

Back
The first level of the media centre is displayed.

Genres
All available genres are displayed. Select and confirm a genre (e.g.
Pop), an artist, an album and then a track.

Videos
All available video files are displayed. Select a video file from the list and confirm it.
Repeat
Important: A category (e.g.
Albums) must be selected.
Press the control button for
Repeat to narrow down the playlist. If you would like to copy e.g. all tracks of a selected genre into the playlist, select a category (e.g.
Genres) > desired genre (e.g.
Pop) > control button
Repeat. If you would like to repeat an individual track, select the desired track in a folder and press the control button for
Repeat. The track selected will be repeated.
Note
- Only the categories supported by the medium used are available. For example, CD/DVD-ROM tracks cannot be selected via categories such as Artists, Albums or Genres. When you are using an iPod (source: Audi music interface), the categories Podcasts, Audiobooks and Composers are also available.
- For safety reasons, the video picture is not available while the vehicle is moving. While you are driving, only the sound is played.
- On some video DVDs it is not possible to select e.g. the audio track, subtitles or track/chapter while they are being played.
- If you synchronise a portable player with "cloud" services, the playlists may not be displayed correctly on the MMI. Use the device's local media library.
