Applies to vehicles: with parking system plus/parking system plus with reversing camera/parking system with surround view cameras/park assist with 360° display
If you hear a continuous warning tone for a few seconds and the LED in the button starts flashing when you switch on the parking aid, or while the parking aid is activated, a system fault has occurred. If the fault is not corrected before you switch off the ignition, it will only be indicated by the flashing LED in the button the next time you switch on the parking aid by engaging reverse gear.
Vehicles with parking system plus/park assist with 360° display
If a sensor malfunctions, the [a347] symbol will be shown in the display in front of or behind the vehicle. If a rear sensor malfunctions, obstacles will only be displayed in zones -A- and -B- Fig. 1. If a front sensor malfunctions, obstacles will only be displayed in zones -C- and -D-.
Vehicles with parking system with surround view cameras
In addition to the above, a system error has occurred if:
- the red orientation lines are no longer displayed to indicate the anticipated path of the vehicle. A crossed-out camera will also appear in the display and the zone will be displayed in blue. A malfunction has occurred in a camera in the zone indicated. Obstacles can no longer be detected and no warnings can be given.
- all segments around the vehicle are shown in red or no segments are displayed.
Drive to a qualified workshop soon and have the fault rectified.
