Talking on the phone while driving has become commonplace. Now you can operate all relevant telephone functions conveniently and safely on the multi-function steering wheel. For this, your vehicle is equipped with a car telephone kit* or a phone pre-installation*.
For example, the following messages can appear on the display of the driver information system:
Phone book is being imported
The connection between the MMI system and the connected mobile phone or SIM card has been established and the phone book is being imported.
Automatic redial
The last number dialled is redialled automatically after a short time.
Automatic connection is active
When you switch on the ignition, a Bluetooth connection is automatically established between the MMI system and your bonded mobile phone. On some mobile phones you have to confirm the connection. The Bluetooth connection between the on-board phone system and the mobile phone is automatically terminated when you remove the ignition key from the ignition lock.
