The tank flap can be released manually if the central locking system should fail to operate.

The manual release mechanism is located behind the light cover on the right of the luggage compartment.
Use a screwdriver to remove the light cover Fig. 305►.
Release the ring Fig. 306► from its holder and carefully pull the ring ►. You should now be able to open the tank flap in the usual way link►.
CAUTION
Pull the ring only until you feel resistance; otherwise you may damage the manual release mechanism (you cannot hear it releasing the tank flap).
