The tank flap can be released manually if the central locking system should fail to operate.

The manual release mechanism is located behind the light cover on the right of the luggage compartment.
Use a screwdriver to remove the light cover Fig. 319►.
Release the ring from the holder and carefully pull the ring Fig. 320► ►. The tank flap is then released.
Press the left side of the tank flap to open it Fig. ►.
CAUTION
Stop pulling the ring when you feel resistance (the release mechanism is not audible). Otherwise, you could damage the manual release mechanism.
